Our Pair of Peafowl

Peafowl include two Asiatic species and one African species of bird in the genus Pavo and Afropavo of the phasianidae family, the pheasants and their allies, known for the male's piercing call and, among the Asiatic species, his extravagant eye-spotted tail covert feathers which he displays as part of a courtship ritual. The term peacock is properly reserved for the male; the female is known as a peahen, and the immature offspring are sometimes called peachicks.

Our Pet Peafowl/Peacocks

This is our sweet Aurora and the hansom Jupiter they where hatched in the summer of 2014. We have had a wonderful time with them and have found them to be a fun addition to our flock of birds and our barn yard. We will have pea chicks from time to time when they hatch a family, as we do not wish to have a large number of Peafowl, we sell the offspring!
