Breeding Saint Bernard's A Counting of the Cost!

I took the time to put this list together because people keep saying to me " Now really, how much could it have cost to have A litter of puppies? You must make a killing charging what you do. You just need to put a pair together and let them breed." The fact is if you do it right and care about the health of each and every little life you bring into the world their is so much more to it. You need to make sure the dogs you breed are healthy and adhere to their breeds standers. Then you need to fully and absolutely care for and raise the pups till they go to their forever and best homes. You can not shuck your responsibility as a breeder to cut cost you must take care of their health as needed at the right stages in their development, You can not put it off for the buyer to do!! This will in the end reflect in the price of a puppy from a good breeder of any breed of dog.

This is just for starters, their is a lot I did not think of I am sure. I do not as a rule sit and count the cost as this is my life and my love. I will do what is needed for each and every dog I am responsible for and worry about the cost latter. The bills do add up and it is so much more then just putting a boy and girl together and letting them have pups! This just gives you and idea if you want to talk Dollars and cents.

Just as a added note I do not ask more for my pups then what I have paid

or will pay for one as good for myself.
